The Michigan Department of Treasury and Michigan Financial Empowerment Workgroup is offering a free personal finance education program, MI Money Matters, designed for Michigan residents.
The MI Money Matters Financial Passport program offers a variety of personal financial courses and assessments, including:

- Creating a budget (and sticking to it)
- Borrowing smart and preparing for higher education
