Starting on May 8, 2025, the Sherwood Forest Branch Library, located at 7117 W. 7 Mile Road near Livernois, will be temporarily closed for maintenance.

Upgrades to the facility will include new exterior windows and repairs to the air conditioning system. The Sherwood Forest Branch is expected to reopen to the public in June 2025.
The Sherwood Forest Branch is a popular community meeting center and offers a wide range of resources to help improve the quality of life for area residents, including family and children's programming, job readiness services, and access to computers and technology.
Established in 1942, the Sherwood Forest Branch Library is named for the community in which it is located. The current facility opened on February 20, 1957.
